Our family of five was lucky enough to spend four days and three nights in this amazing home. It has absolutely everything that you could possibly need and is an architectural masterpiece. The hot tub was clean and warm, the grounds are incredible, and we used the fireplaces every day - in August! (The weather is lovely in Volcanoes - cool and damp). Krish provided tons of helpful information and she's just a few miles down the road in case of any emergency. The house is a quick easy drive to Volcanoes National Park, and a straight shot into Hilo or Puna. We enjoyed the free-entrance zoo in Hilo very much - got to see them feed the tiger from about three feet away, and we also travelled to the black sand beach to see the sea turtles swimming in the surf. Wonderful! This is a great place for a family, or even two traveling together. Our only problem was getting the kids to leave the house long enough to visit the sights on the Island! They would have been happy to hang out on in the TV viewing corner on the comfy corner daybed couches with the flatscreen and HBO. Thank you, Krish - you and your family are awesome

Our stay at the Volcano Retreat was absolutely fabulous. The property is stunning and perfect for our group of six travelers. We especially loved the showers! We cannot offer a single suggestion for improvement - this property is spectacular! Thanks to Ron and Barbara for their hospitality and to Krish for her excellent communication and aloha spirit. Finally, thanks for the added touches that made our trip to Volcano National Park one to remember.

I had the opportunity to stay at this AMAZING house for about a week. I didn't want to leave! It is such an artistic place - from the land to the house itself to the decor. Definitely the best shower of my life off the forest room, although the upstairs shower is great as well - the huge windows and etched glass... In a word, AMAZING. The kitchen is great, as is the open floor plan of the downstairs. Couldn't have found a better place!

An amazing place with a rich, luxurious decor. I personally loved the fireplace, back lanai, and the use of Koa about the place. Overall a fantastic experience I would surely do again.

This place is SO INCREDIBLE!!! And it is larger than life. I have not seen a vacation rental so beautifully designed and built. We had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house over the weekend and wish we had more time because we couldn't enjoy everything it had to offer. I am definitely looking forward to the next weekend in this house.

It was an amazing place to stay. This house is bigger than the pictures show but still very cozy. Very secluded and private, perfect for a romantic getaway. The upstairs shower is fantastic with its large window. It was the perfect place for us to stay on our Valentines Retreat.

The large central space of the home actually has two different living room areas:
